Ms.Drake, the science and social studies teacher, loves 3rd grade. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Stillman College in December 2015. She started teaching in August 2016. She chose education as a career because she believes that education is the most important function performed in any culture. She believes that teachers can not only change the world, but improve it too! She likes teaching science and social studies because she thinks that today’s students are tomorrow leaders. Ms.Drake said jobs in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) related fields are some of the fastest growing and best paid of the 21st century. Ms.Drake said “ by the time my students are ready to enter the workforce, they must have enough knowledge to make invaluable contributions to our nation’s STEM industries so why not introduce those skills early on.”
